Mark has lived his whole life on Earth — which is rather tragic. It means he’s never met an android, never flown a Flarejet, and worst of all, never explored dangerous new worlds alongside a rough and tumble crew of fellow outcasts. He's really been missing out, but all that is about to change ...

About the Author
Rafael Gruszecki hails from the rather unimportant little orbit colony of Lipsis -- which exports those small flux sprockets that help power warp drives. It’s a meteor’s throw from the extremely important mega-metropolis of Ion -- which exports, in great quantities: politicans, debt collectors, and those types of people who put empty cartons back in the fridge. Rafael’s father was a sprocket engineer and his mother worked nights as an emergency room nurse. How these two wonderful parents raised and reared a penniless author, who’d rather spend time with his head in the clouds than find a decent, honest paying job and start a family -- is beyond them. Father still believes the hospital made a mistake by switching cribs at birth. He refuses to give up hope, and has devoted his retirment to finding his ‘real’ son. Since graduating Pathos High (Go Unicorns!), with an above average number of sick days, Rafael has bounced between three colleges, sold lightcycles, and trekked around the cheaper, ‘budget’ solar systems of Ursa Minor. Somehow, he swears he doesn’t remember, he found himself on Earth -- in Rzeszow, Poland, to be specific. Good place, that. Rafael currently lives in bookstores and libraries around Portland, Oregon. He goes there to smell books. Smelling books causes him to contemplate life, the universe, and how much mischief, exactly, could a boy and girl from Earth -- who don’t know the truth about the galaxy-- get into, when they find out. Rafael plans to discover the answers through two intertwined series: Mark From Earth and Ella From Earth.

This book cured my diabetes and made me a better person.
By Michael Winston
I was skeptical. First off, the book smelled like it was completely new. How could I trust that I would get enough mileage out of this book when it hadn't even been road tested yet and there was no powertrain warranty? The truth is that I was cynical about the idea of a boy who lived on earth and was clueless about the expansive and mysterious world beyond the veil of the blue sky. I was accosted by the very idea that human civilization as we know it today, is actually an embarrassing backwater of the galaxy, much like the bush people in Australia: They know how to survive, but can't text or tweet. And seriously is life even worth it without those things? I never want to find out. So that's how life on Earth is viewed. Enter Mark: The boy who you can basically mentally step into like a suit that instantly restores your lost childhood dreams and sense of wonder, you know, back when you were growing up and everyday life was mysterious and exciting. I was splashed in the face by the fresh ideas and vibrant visuals in this book. And before I could dry my face off, I was knocked over and blown out into the hallway by a gust of inspiration when I realized that Mark and the other characters in this book forced me to truly care about their lives and their struggles. There are also mysterious motivations at play and very unnerving portrayals of advanced and unregulated technologies doing the horrifying things they are programmed to do. This book is a magnificent joyride that will leave you drying yourself off and walking back into the room that you were just blown out of.
Long story short, next time I went to the doctor I was given a clean bill of health. My wife and I were thrilled! I noticed that I now get around 33% more positive attention from everyone in the airport waiting area and Laundromat from the date that I finished this book.
Coincidence? I think not.
Mr. Gruszecki is a gangster-ass sorcerer and Mark from earth is the magnum opus of his spells.

Mark From Yemen
By Marco Julio Lopes
When I first saw Mark From Earth in my browser window it was like love at first glance. But a glance my dear! Aside from that, I had a relatively unusual string of events lead me to the purchasing of this book. Before I go into the details of what brought this delightful read into my life, I must explain how this book truly shines as a work of Young Adult Literature. Yes'm.
I think the struggle of the main character can be mirrored by my own struggle with life. I relate to Mark. I feel like I'm truly the same as him. His journeys, his struggles, his repeated attempts to post a decent review on Amazon (reflected by Mark's struggle to win the war games of course). But Mark has these friends, and I never had friends when I went to school. AND! Mark's name is very similar to mine. "Hello, I'm Marc-Oh." Now lets skip to the unusual string of events...
After a night out on the town I found myself in the dusty side streets of East Yemen. Trying to distract myself from how Yemeny Yemen truly was, I was thinking of how my dog had died, I had lost my job, I was poor with not a rupee to my name, and now all the clear signs of complete devastation waited politely at my doorstep, either that or it was those pesky Mormons again! I noticed a glimmer at the end of the street, and upon approaching it I found someone had lost their wedding ring, either that or some sultan was off laughing somewhere with a tan line on his finger and a newborn tiger on his lap. No matter. I scooped the ring and brought it into the only pawnshop in East Yemen, it was also a food cart, he sold burritos. I begged the man to buy the ring off me so I could leave Yemen and fly home to America! The man turned to me and said "You must bring the ring to a man named Marquis Friemurth." What I heard was Mark from Earth. "Well of course he's from Earth! Give me some details!!!" I shouted back to the Yemaneze burrito pusher. But with a flick of his wrist he began wheeling his cart away from me. While wondering about where ON EARTH!!! to find mark, I was suddenly brought to my knees by the shock wave of a very powerful explosion, followed by the light drizzle of shredded lamb flakes. It appeared the food cart had wheeled over a landmine. So with technology being what it is, I went to the library in East Yemen, logged onto a computer and looked up Mark From Earth, the final words of the burrito pusher, and man was I glad. Turns out there is this website called Amazon, weird because there is so little jungle to do with it. No matter. On amazon I found this book and what a great read! But more importantly I was finally able to sell that diamond sultan ring I found and get a ticket for a flight back to America. Now I have four kids, a second wife and a newborn tiger of my own (don't tell the officials). All thanks to Amazon! Concluding nicely: this book isn't bad, you should read it.
