she read it and said it was really good, some scary parts

I bought this for my granddaughter, 13 years old, she read it and said it was really good, some scary parts, but she liked it. I read it after that to see if I did the right thing getting this book for her. Found it to be well written not really scary. Love it, a great take on Halloween and all its symbols. A very interesting way to weave a halloween tale, I have since recommended this book for my other 11 or 12 year old grand kids.

Imaginative and fun!

I loved this book! It is a brilliant, fascinating re-imagining of the origins of Halloween. Perfect for tween and young adult readers. This reminds me of something you'd tell sitting around a campfire telling spooky stories. Well written and fast-paced, it also touches on the themes of friendship and loyalty as well as not judging people based on appearances. Just a great book that tweens, young adults and adults can enjoy. Very imaginative!

I bet they are treated to some wonderful bedtime stories

My twelve year old came to me and asked if I could buy him this book. I read the premise and thought it sounded interesting, so I did. Before I let him read it, I started scanning through to make sure the content was appropriate. Well, my scanning turned into full on reading. I became so fascinated with the story that I couldn't stop. The creativity just oozes out of this novel. Such a clever tale! I don't know if Mr. Infinito has any children, but if he does, I bet they are treated to some wonderful bedtime stories.
