Ebola, a very deadly disease if not treated right away! Don't get caught unprepared, knowledge is power!
The news reports about Ebola are often confusing, conflicting and sometimes frightening. With life and death at stake, you need to know the truth. That's what this book delivers!
Since its first appearance in 1976, Ebola has largely been hidden from public attention, especially in America. However, the outbreak beginning in March 2014 has been impossible to ignore - especially since U.S. hospitals have been involved in the treatment of several cases. It has stirred political controversy about how our country should respond to travelers coming from the affected nations in Africa. With a 21 day incubation period, someone can be infected without knowing until the disease has produced symptoms. By then, friends and family could also become infected. What a frightening possibility! But is that danger something we can prevent or protect ourselves from experiencing? You'll need to read Ebola: What You Need to Know Now to find out.
In Ebola: What You Need to Know Now you will learn:
- The history and development of this disease threat
- The risks of experiencing an Ebola infection
- The initial, advanced and terminal symptoms of an Ebola virus infection
- Where to turn for immediate emergency help
- How to understand the known methods of Ebola transmission, including how it was initially transmitted to human beings
- How viable the Ebola virus can be outside the body

From the Author
I wrote this book to give you, the average citizen, answers to the most common questions regarding the Ebola Virus. As the virus is now in the U.S., and now even some healthcare workers are becoming infected, we all need to remain vigilant in our surroundings. A lot of illnesses share the same symptoms as Ebola, so while we need to remain vigilant, we also need to understand the facts surrounding the Ebola virus and it's symptoms and characteristics. If you or a family member is sick, or is becoming sick, you are are the first line of defense. Even if you have not had any exposure to Ebola, or someone infected with it, we can still prevent other illnesses from spreading. - Sam

concise and extremely infirmative
By Barbara Jackson
Quite concise and extremely informative, Ebola K shows the origins of the disease as well as how to become infected, symtoms, effects of the full blown illness, and likely consequences. It is easily read in just a matter of minutes but is packed with valuable information.

Ebola: What You Need to Know Right Now: A Guide to Identifying, Treating and Preventing the Deadly Ebola Virus by Sam Jonstone
"Ebola: What You Need to Know Right Now" is a below-average eBook that provides basic information on the Ebola Virus. Author Sam Jonstone provides the layperson with a succinct explanation of what the Ebola virus is where it came from, the risks involved and how to prevent it. This disappointing 19-page eBook includes the following four chapters: 1. What is the Ebola Virus?, 2. Risks of Ebola, 3. Seeking Help and Treatment, and 4. Treatments and recovery for the Ebola virus.
Positives:
1. Succinct.
2. Hot-button topic if there ever was one.
3. Basic description of the Ebola Virus. "The Ebola Virus (EV), also known as Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever, causes a very serious and acute illness which oftentimes is fatal, especially if left untreated."
4. Provides the initial signs and symptoms.
5. Explains how Ebola is transmitted. "Ebola becomes introduced into the human population primarily through close contact with the secretions, blood, organs, or other bodily fluids of animals that can be infected with Ebola such as chimpanzees, fruit bats, antelope and other small animals that are found ill or dead."
6. A couple of surprising notes.
7. Explains what to do if you have the symptoms provided.
8. Discusses existing treatments and potential outcomes.
9. Provides a helpful list on how to prevent the Ebola Virus.
Negatives:
1. A quick Google search would have given you as much information and better.
2. Way too basic and what is the author's background? Technically deficient.
3. Lack of engagement from the author. Where's the panache?
4. Poor formatting.
5. Lack of visual materials. No charts, diagrams or timelines.
6. Many missed opportunities. No description of the difference between a virus and bacteria.
7. No links, notes or formal bibliography.
8. Looks like a rush job to capitalize on the frenzy.
In summary, it pains me to give low scores but as a top reviewer I must provide the best assessment that I can. This eBook was a rush job and a poor one at that. Save yourself the time and Google the topic or seek a better book. I pass on this one.
Further recommendations: "Ebola: The Natural and Human History of a Deadly Virus" by David Quammen is the only book I can recommend on this topic.
