looking forward to reading more in this series

Without giving away too much, the main character is turned against his will and Cagle does a great job of capturing Alec Carson's emotions about this. He doesn't instantly become a supernatural being with amazing powers and the confidence to match. He reacts just like any of us would in real life--he's angry, he's confused, but at times he thinks his new-found status is really cool. All this made me love the character of Alec. Yes, it's a vampire book, but it's really the story of Alec and it just happens to take place in a vampire-filled world. I enjoyed this book and look forward to Alec's future exploits.

Great story

I found this to be a very good read. I usually don't get into vampire books but was able to get lost in this story and could not put the book down. I will be waiting anxiously for book 2. And honestly, in a book with as much violence and death as this book has, if anyone focus's so negatively only on the light flirting between two guys I think they really need to take a serious look at their sense of right and wrong. If you can't get past that then you are really missing out on a good story.

Umm plz add more to the summary

The idea sounds nice but i had one major problem in the summary it doesnt warn u about the homosexual nature of the book while i dont care if thats what others want to do becuase it doesnt really effect me i have no desire to read such content and would have liked a warning or something
