I was very disappointed by this book. The author gives no credentials and rewrites information from other books without giving credit. The grammar errors belie the fact that she had no editorial oversight. I wish I could get my money back.

According to the book, following the diet will certainly make your our bodies more healthy and it may help prevent diabetes, heart attack, and stroke.
The book delves into the the specifics of insulin resistance, and what a person at risk can do to get his health back on track. In a nut shell, we can begin to eat unprocessed, non-refined, natural whole foods. Easy, example foods and menus are given. I was pleasantly surprised that I was already eating many of the foods recommended, but was horrified by the idea that my regular portions were WAY TOO BIG.
I finished the book knowing that I had to make some adjustments to my diet and my exercise routine. I also, probably for the first time, began to realize how important stress reduction and regular social interaction are to a healthy disease free life.
Thank you, Kathy Wilson, for a book that will immediately lead to changes in some of my lifestyle habits that will surely make my life better all the way around. Good Job!
