Too Big to be Legal - Your Mandated Health Insurance, by Frank H. Lobb

This is a book that literally blows the lid off the deliberate misrepresentation and fraud in our mandated health insurance and lays it out for all to see - Mr. and Mrs. Average Citizen, the courts, judges, and attorneys, politicians, hospitals, doctors, state insurance regulators, and all those involved with the managed care-care health insurance industry. But most important, the book arms the individual enrollee in these plans with the knowledge they need to retain a private and personal doctor-patient relationship, get the care and coverage they have been promised, and legally refuse the grossly inflated hospital bills that have become all too common. It's a one-of-a-kind book the insurance industry hopes you never read.

Exposing the Health Care Fraud
By Paul
This is a book that everyone who has health insurance should read. I can't say it any better than the book description: This is a book that literally blows the lid off the deliberate misrepresentation and fraud in our mandated health insurance and lays it out for all to see - Mr. and Mrs. Average Citizen, the courts, judges, and attorneys, politicians, hospitals, doctors, state insurance regulators, and all those involved with the managed-care health insurance industry. Too Bad to Read
By Max Bower
Poorly written, tedious, meandering drivel. I got this book because the "author"( I use this term loosely) is a local business man in my community and I thought it would be an interesting read. Although I agree with the man on a few points, this book is just a mess. His could be reasonable arguments are poorly reasoned with little to no facts to back them up. He clearly has a lot of knowledge of healthcare issues, but very little thoughtful insight about these issues or has failed at communicating any. We live in an age where anyone with means can self publish and this can be a good thing or, as in this case, a bad thing. I feel for the trees who gave up living for this borish tome when they could have done better for humanity as toilet paper. I put it down after 100 pages. I wish I could get those three hours of my life back.

has some very good arguments to make about important issues pertaining to health ...
By Daniel A. Rich
The book's author, whom I know and with whom I have had many discussions, has some very good arguments to make about important issues pertaining to health care "insurance." Frank argues that health care insurance is not really insurance at all when compared to other types of traditional insurance - it works on a totally different model and always has. Frank points out that health insurance has traditionally been regulated by the states in our country and all the insurers incorporate the "employee hold harmless clause" in their contracts and that the states make this clause pretty much impossible for an ordinary citizen to see. He feels that this is fraudulent and duplicitous. Frank argues that the ACA brings the federal government into a realm that had always been the jurisdiction of the states and that there is a basic legality issue here that no one else has addressed. In our discussions both of us have come to the conclusion that, while the federal government certainly is far from perfectly efficient, a single payer system based of a model like Medicare would be cheaper for patients and most effective at bringing down the excessively high current cost of health care. This, however, would cut into the profits of hospitals, other providers, insurers etc. and be smeared with charges of socialism and consequently impossible to ratify by our congress. Incidentally, Mr. Lobb comes from a family that has traditionally been republican and he himself has been a life long republican. For what it's worth, I'm personally a little more of an independent.
