"Having had 10 root canals and 10 caps administered when I was just 17 years old, over the decades I have facetiously referred to myself as the "Queen of Dentistry". My standing one-liner used to be, "My husband doesn't buy me diamonds, he buys me teeth." I am a connoisseur of dentists and having flown to Dr. Garcia's office in Chicago just recently, I am thrilled that she is sharing her knowledge in book form. In encouraging others to take personal responsibility in their health, I believe we must educate ourselves with books such as these to enhance our sustainable success throughout a Whole Health Journey. Lina Garcia is a rare and precious find and I longingly envision her protocol to become a model for standard dental treatments. She and her staff are mission mission minded in educating their clients of the relationship between their teeth and health. The knowledge and expertise that she shares in both her book and practice regarding the harm of dangerous bacteria and infections caused by root canals, amalgam fillings, and improperly fit caps and metals opens the door to new beginnings and hope toward optimal health. Taking personal responsibility for ones health is an arduous and often times lonely path; this doctor and staff provide support and services though that enhance the journey! We need more professionals like Dr. Garcia to step into the arena of alternative and optimal health care.

I believe in Holistic dentistry

Holistic dentistry emphasizes approaches to dental care said to consider dental health in the context of the patient's entire physical as well as emotional or spiritual health in some cases. Although the holistic dental community is in its practices and approaches, common threads include strong opposition to the use of amalgam in materials in dental fillings, nonsurgical approaches to gum disease, and the belief that root canals may endanger systemic health of the patient through the spread of trapped dental bacteria to the body. Many dentists who use these terms also regard water fluoridation unfavorably.
