Just a few too many things not quite right to earn a 5 star review.

I really, really want to give this a 5 star, but I just can't. I like the story, the concept, but there are so many little details about the book that keep me for really enjoying it. First, we know EXACTLY what Dan looks like - hair, eyes, build, etc.....but don't even know what color Max's hair is. It's never been mentioned. All we know is that she is curvy and we are only given that info in a vague sort of way. Is she a 12, 18, 20? I'm using American sizes.....which brings me to the next "little details", we aren't given a clue as to what country this is taking place in.

If we are told that this is taking place in England, than maybe, as an American reader I could then understand and try to ignore the British spelling of many words like colour, realise, behaviour and using expressions like "throw my clothes in the bin" meaning to throw your clothes in the trash. I found many, many instances like this peppered thru the first 2 books and have found them in this book also.

Now my final 2 thoughts as to why I know can't give it a 5 star. First, the author needs to do research on how much Firefighters make. I know how much they make in the USA and trust me, they make VERY good money because of overtime and call backs. I checked the pay wages in England and their are comparable. So for him to make up a story about being in construction because Firefighters aren't paid that well....nope, very thin story line there. I worked for the government for 26 years, 3 of my coworker's husband were Firefighters and they were living much better lives than I was. Last bone I have to pick. It would NOT be a firing offense to say that your boyfriend was working in construction and then to turn around and have your boss find out he is a Firefighter - - it's none of their freaking business. It has nothing to do with the bank or anything that happened during banking hours and she would have a strong suit for wrongful termination.

Update and here is where the minor spoiler comes in - the author uses the wording "frame the embezzler" several times. Okay, I could see if she used it once it was just a slip up. But you do not FRAME an embezzler - you CATCH or TRAP an embezzler. Per the dictionary, to FRAME, used as an informal word means:

a. To make up evidence or contrive events so as to incriminate (a person) falsely.
b. To prearrange (a contest) so as to ensure a desired fraudulent outcome

So, if in fact the author means for her characters to actually FRAME THE EMBEZZLER that means they would be setting up an innocent person to take the fall for something they didn't do. Because of this and because of many more editing problems that stood out to me, I had to knock this review from it's former 4 star down to a 3 star. I think the author would be well served to actually edit her written word and to research phrases before she uses them.

Third book in this wonderful trilogy !!

Book three in this wonderful trilogy. Maxine, "Max", and Dan are perfect for each other. He is smitten right away. She hires him to be her date, but he truly falls for her and won't take the money. This delightful tales worth the time. In this second tale they are trying to have a relationship and get beyond the escort fiasco. They are wonderful together and she meets his family. I think that is why the title is not fitting the real story. Here in part three things are moving along nicely, and Dan and his firefighters must rescue Max and her workers from a fire in her building. Now, they know he isn't in construction. He met her folks, and Max and Dan have fallen in love. I won't tell all the tidbits, you must read it. Be sure to get all three parts and read them in order, then read Robin's story in "A Curvy Christmas". This whole trilogy is sizzling between the sheets, with interesting deep characters and realistic people and events which make this story great. I usually am upset with cliffhangers, but all the parts were already out, so no waiting !! ENJOY !!!

I really enjoyed this book and it's story! Yes, as some reviews say, there were mistakes throughout the book but I'm not the grammar police, I read for the story! As long as the mistakes don't interfere with how the story makes me feel, then I don't care!
Max and Dan's love story is so sweet and had me wanting more from them!
I love how everything worked out for Dan's sister and her family and of course Dan and Max!
That ending WOW...HOT!!!
I loved this story so much that I actually didn't write this review til I read all of the books in this series! I just couldn't wait to start the next book! I sure wish we could get more of their story, marriage and kids maybe! So five stars from me!

A Book With A Hook!

This very vivid, creative book takes you on a journey with RJ and Angel, the two main characters are a quest to collect orbs in an effort to save humanity from Satan himself. You've never seen a battle between good and evil quite like this! This author boldly takes on some controversial issues and handles them with style and grace (well done!), though I won't tell you what those are. You have to read and find out for yourself. As you progress through this journey, you learn of an very interesting plot twist. Then, just as all the orbs are collected, and you're on the edge of your seat, something riveting happens, leaving you wanting that next book! The author does a great job of painting mental images for the reader and inspiring emotional investment in the characters. Very intriguing story with a lot of twists to keep you turning these pages. Great hook! Way to go, Andrea M. Mouser!

Couldn't put the book down...had to see what was next

I read the first 4 chapters non stop until I finally had to stop to let the dog out to pee. Hard book to just walk away from. Had trouble finding a good place to stop. I even cried at one point. Not many books can have that effect on people. Definitely a good read. Can't wait for more books. Talented new author with a promising future.

READ THIS BOOK!!!

I absolutely love this book! If you have not read it, you are certainly missing out.

Andrea paints an intricate picture with her main character RJ. You get to see the details of her abusive life before she is thrown into a supernatural adventure complete with angels, demons, gorgeous relationship development, and some awesome kick-ass fighting. Oh, and a sweet little dog! The pace of this novel stays steady, but will throw curve ball after curve ball and leave you wanting more! I couldn't put it down and I cannot WAIT for the next book to come out!

Big cities fascinate me. From their infrastructure, to their roadways, to their housing requirements and park designs. In particular, I find it amazing how so many people can live on such a small parcel of land. I've visited London, Berlin, Sydney, Los Angeles, Singapore, Paris, Rome - some pretty big cities with intricate and brilliant city designs and massive populations living in splendid harmony. And I loved every single one of them.

Mix into this fascination a love of science fiction from when I was a small child, throw in a few modern day newsworthy concepts, and you have a meting hot-pot of vibrant colour and multiculturalism in a land area no bigger than Lake Taupo (my home town).

The Citizen Saga came to me while on holiday in one of those big cities and it just built from there. A type of awe laced with a what-if scenario, that continued to grow inside my head until I had no choice but to put pen to paper and get it all out. In its most basic description, the story is about a strictly controlled nation cut-off from the rest of the world, and those remarkable people who rise up and fight back against the oppression in search of something more.

It's fantasy based on reality with a mixture of science fiction and a grounding in romance and suspense. And I loved the Citizen Saga World as much as I loved those wonderful "real" big cities I've visited over the years.

About the Author
Nicola Claire lives in beautiful Taupo, New Zealand with her husband and two young boys. She's tried her hand at being a paramedic, bank teller and medical sales representative, (not all necessarily in that order), but her love of writing keeps calling her back. She has a passion for all things supernatural, spiced up with a good dollop of romance - as long as they include strong characters, alpha males and capable females, and worlds which although make-believe are really quite believable in the end. There's nothing better than getting caught up in a compelling, intriguing and romantic book. When she's not writing or reading, she's out on her family boat at Lake Taupo, teaching her young boys to fish, showing them the beauty that surrounds them in nature and catching some delicious trout for dinner. Creating rich worlds with dynamic characters and unexpected twists that shock and awe has been pure bliss for this author. And just as well, because there's a lot more story yet to tell...

A Definite Must Read Series For Anyone!

This is one of the most heart stopping, adrenaline pumping sagas I have ever read! You will fall in love with the characters from the first chapter of the first book. Favorite genre doesn't matter. From romance, suspense, scifi, fantasy, mystery and thriller, this author has a way with twists and turns that will keep a person so engrossed that you will not stop reading until the very end of the last book. It took me only two days to read all three books of this saga and I am still craving more. Now I'm turning to the other books she has written knowing that she will deliver.

Book 3 of 5 and it's the best so far.

This is the third book in this series and they just keep getting better and better my only problem is I didn't check all the books were out, this is a series of five books the forth is due out in March and the fifth in April so while it's not that long it's still too long.
Like the previous book 'Cardinal' this book is fast paced in fact it never lets up and I struggled to put it down at all, it starts with Lena and the rebels on a mission where they make a frightening discovery, they're not sure exactly what's going on or who's in charge but they're fighting for One Wánměi and they know they have to take down Shiloh.
The rebels need to be united which means Trent and Tan need to cooperate but can they and their men fully trust each other. Trent and Lena finally put all mistrust and doubts behind them and accept that they can't fight the attraction any more, they have enough battles without fighting their feeling as well.
This is a fabulous book and the strongest so far as they prepare to give up their lives in what seems to be an impossible fight.
I enjoyed this whole book but especially Trent and Lena together (I'm a romantic and it's Valentine's Day so of course I liked them best together) I loved the romance, the passion and the humour because despite whatever situation they find themselves in Trent never fails to somehow make me smile.
***I tugged at her stab-proof vest, felt her knives dig into my thighs, my groin. Instinct had me shifting all pertinent areas out of direct contact. Desire had me shifting back immediately and to hell with a blade to the balls.***
I very rarely give 5* but this one held me from the first page to the last and I can't wait for 'Masked' the forth book so really I can't give any less.

FABULOUS BOOK!

I love this series and especially enjoyed this book. The series really makes you think about how out of control well meaning ideas or individuals/groups can get. I was also happy to see the growth of the relationship and romance between Trent and Lena. Both were equally valuable to their revolution though in such differing capacities. Theirs is a love story of epic proportion. Simon and Alan were both really terrific characters as well.

This series kept you guessing from the first book forward. The twists, turns and plot shifts were great. I even wondered at the beginning of the series if Lena would end up with Alan, Simon or Trent because there seemed to be a great attraction to her from all of them.

The ending was not what I expected. The threat to their country having come from other than internal beginnings could leave this open to further installments. One could only hope. Children for Lena and Trent another possibility.

I love Ms Claire as an author. She is my favorite since I read her Kindred and Sweet Seduction series and she never, ever fails to please! Be sure to check out some her other series.

Sexy wolfs of stone!!!

Natalya Larkin is a photographer that is from the village down from Langdon Manor.
The Langdon Wolves were once the alphas that the village swore fealty to. Now they stand guard at the main gates of the manor.....they were cursed by a witch that said if she couldn't have them no one would. They are centuries old waiting on their one true mate. She has to take both of them to brake the curse.
Natalya is four grandmother's before, part lycan but doesn't believe the old stories of the wolves.
Men turged to stone by day and awake to men at night..but the old stories are true and soon Natalya will find out!!!
This is a very sexy little smut, just right for bedtime but to hot for the day!! Join in with the wolves as they find Natalya trespassing at the manor and how they handle such as her.
This story will make you shiver....sweat....and have many a hot flash!!!
Love these sexy wolves, but was a little disappointed with the ending, so only gave it 4 stars because of that. But don't take it wrong,
this story could singe the hair off a wolf it is so hot!! Another wonderful sexy short smut!!!

Another smexy read!!!

I am really loving these smexy shorts. For such short stories they are very well developed. You are able to get a real sense of the characters and the world. Bonus that is is my shifter crack!!

While you get a sense of the leads, there could have been more interaction, but hey, it is meant to be smut. Jumping straight into the steam is defined by mating lust. Holla, smexy menage action!!

Again, my only complaint is I want more, what happens next?

Natalya Larkin human to the most part but labeled Lycan do to a long ago grandparent.she decides to pack her camera's and head up to the mansion were there is talk. The two stone wolves come to life at night and kidnap or capture every lycan female looking for the ONE. As the sun goes down and she is taking pictures she feels watched and can't shake the feeling til she spins around and sees two sexy well defined men..
